FAQ

Questions We Get Asked a Lot

A quick rundown of what golfers usually want to know before — and after — a fitting session with us.

Do I need to be a scratch golfer to get fit?

Not even close. Fitting helps every skill level, and higher-handicap players often see the biggest jump, since stock clubs rarely account for slower swing speeds, steeper attack angles, or an inconsistent strike location.

How long is a typical session?

Single-club fittings (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) take 45–60 minutes. Full iron sets run 60–90 minutes. A complete bag assessment usually takes 2–3 hours.

Am I required to buy clubs after the session?

No obligation whatsoever. You'll leave with a full written data report and can decide later whenever you're ready. If you do order, we credit your fitting fee toward the purchase in full.

What should I bring with me?

Bring the current clubs relevant to your fitting, the shoes you'd normally wear on the course, and a general idea of your scoring or handicap if you happen to know it.

Why is launch monitor data better than just swinging demo clubs?

Trying to feel whether a club is "longer" is unreliable — your sense of distance and feel is easy to fool. Our dual radar-and-camera setup logs ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and dispersion on every single swing, so comparisons come from objective numbers instead of a guess.

How soon will my new clubs be ready?

Most orders are finished in-house within a week, since we keep components on hand and build on site rather than shipping orders out to a third-party factory.

Can left-handed golfers get fit here?

Absolutely. Our demo wall stocks left-handed heads across every major category, and the launch monitor works exactly the same for right- and left-handed swings.

What if I'm already happy with my current clubs?

That's a common reason to come in — plenty of clients just want to confirm their current specs, or check lie angle and shaft fit on gear they already own.

Do you help with adjustments after the build is done?

Yes. Any loft, lie, or length tweak needed within 30 days of pickup is included at no charge while your swing adapts to the new equipment.

Which areas do your clients typically come from?

Our studio sits in Chicago, Illinois, and we regularly see golfers from across the metro area, including Oak Park, Evanston, and Naperville.
